Description: The athletes engaged in a pankration competition — i.e., the pankratiasts (παγκρατιαστές) employed a variety of techniques in order to strike their opponent as well as take him to the ground in order to use a submission technique. When the pankratiasts fought standing, the combat was called anō pankration (ἄνω παγκράτιον "upper pankration"); and when they took the fight to the ground, that stage of pankration competition was called katō pankration (κάτω παγκράτιον "lower pankration").

Some of the techniques that would be applied in anō pankration and katō pankration, respectively, are known to us through depictions on ancient pottery and sculptures, as well as in descriptions in ancient literature. There were also strategies documented in ancient literature that were meant to be used to obtain an advantage over the competitor.

History: Pankration is an ancient martial art introduced into the Greek Olympic Games in 648 BC and founded as a blend of boxing and wrestling but with scarcely any rules. The only things not acceptable were biting and gouging of the opponent's eyes. The term comes from the Greek παγκράτιον [paŋkrátion], literally meaning "all powers" from πᾶν (pan-) "all" + κράτος (kratos) "strength, power".

Ueratius Pankration is taken from the actual root style, and has been perfected over the ages. Very few people actually even survive learning the style, as it has no true sparring form. A true bloodsport, it is taught to very few to begin with, and people often die practicing it. True masters are said to be invincible and merciless gods of the battlefield that even the god of War himself tips his hat to. How this style survived to this day is beyond most people.

Description: Used upon enemies that are on their back upon the ground. He gets down, and uses the opponent's arm as a lever, straddling them on their necks and forces the opponent's shoulder past its normal range of motion. If the opponent is of a lesser physical level, this has a good probability of dislocating their shoulder, which will greatly hinder the use of that arm.

Description: Kneeling a bit and grabbing his foe under their rear to hoist them up, he will angle them downwards by swinging their weight like such, and slam them down as hard as possible, using his strength, plus their speed, and the gravity. He ends up knelt over the enemy sideways, perfectly aligning him for a Shoulder Lock.

Description: He lifts up his leg and slams his heel as hard as he can into the foes diaphragm in a standing straight kick. This actually devastates the foe more than one would expect it to.

Shoulder Tackle - 1

Description: A simple move, in which he aims to ram his shoulder into the opponent's chest, at a speed hoping to take his opponent down. Slides well into the mounting position.

Description: He straddles a downed opponent's torso on their shoulders, ready to wail on them.

Hammer Fists - 1

Description: While straddling the opponent, he curls up his fists and begins to wail on them with little style, bashing on their face.

Tracheal Grip Choke - 1

Type: Choke
Description: He uses one hand to grab the opponent's neck, squeezing on their trachea. If this is maintained for 3 posts the opponent will lose consciousness.
